Game Summary: Both teams started hot from the outside with Booker Coplin hitting two three-pointers for Frankfurt while Artur Konontsuk had five points at the other end for a 9-9 game. Seth Hinrichs’ triple had the hosts up 14-13 only to see Frankfurt finish the first quarter with a 10-2 spurt to pull ahead 23-16 after 10 minutes. Frankfurt hit the first four points of the second quarter as the lead grew to 28-16. Justin Jaworski and Seth Hinrichs carried Oldenburg back into the game with a 14-2 run to even the game 30-30. Four points from Konontsuk had Oldenburg ahead 37-33 and a Jaworski triple made it 44-37 and Frankfurt trailed 44-39 at the break.
The guests had the better start to second half and pulled ahead 53-50 thanks to five points from Malik Parsons. Oldenburg answered with the next nine points and took a 61-54 lead. Frankfurt were down 61-56 after 30 minutes. Oldenburg could not pull away and Parsons and Trey Calvin combined for 11 points as Frankfurt took the lead 71-70. Jaworski buried back to back three-pointers - the second one which ended up being a seven-point possession. Jaworski made two free throws after technical fouls on Frankfurt head coach Denis Wucherer and Ed Croswell and then Max DiLeo added two foul shots for an 80-73 lead. Frankfurt were not done yet with three-pointers from Parsons and Calvin and a Parsons layup to make it 82-81 with 14 seconds to go. After Konontsuk’s two free throws, Calvin buried a triple with 6.8 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime. Frankfurt went nearly 2 minutes without a point and Oldenburg went ahead 91-84. Jaworski added two more baskets and Alen Pjanic drained the dagger three-pointer to make it 100-91 with 58 seconds to go.

Numbers Please: Oldenburg forced 20 turnovers - even though they also committed 19 turnovers. The hosts made 23 of 24 free throws compared to 10 of 15 for Frankfurt.

Player of the Game: It's impossible to pick any other player as Justin Jaworski buried 5 three-pointers in scoring 39 points while also dishing out 11 assists and grabbing 3 rebounds. Jaworski played 43:38 minutes as guards Geno Crandall and Eli Brooks were both injured. That came after Jaworski played the full 40 minutes against NINERS Chemnitz.

The Germans: Alen Pjanic picked up 9 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts; Len Schoormann scored 7 points while Max DiLeo collected 5 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 1 block. At the other end, Timo Lanmüller and Garai Zeeb both scored 3 points.

Also Newsworthy: Justin Jaworski’s 39 points were the most points scored by any player in the league this season - passing Malik Parsons’ 30 points against RASTA Vechta. In addition, Jaworski’s 11 assists were one off the season high of Nick Weiler-Babb’s 12 for FC Bayern Munich against Veolia Towers Hamburg.

What's Up Next: The FIBA break will see Oldenburg take a break until hosting Telekom Baskets Bonn on Friday December 6. Frankfurt’s next game however will be at Veolia Towers Hamburg on Saturday November 30.
